Report: Boeing suspends purchase of titanium from Russia

MOSCOW, Mar 9 (PRIME) -- U.S. aircraft producer Boeing has suspended purchases of titanium from Russia, the Wall Street Journal reported on Monday.

The company also closed its offices in Moscow and Kyiv and stopped supplying aircraft components for Russian airlines.

Boeing has a strategic partnership contract with Russia’s VSMPO-Avisma, the world’s largest titanium producer.

VSMPO-Avisma’s CEO Dmitry Osipov told PRIME that the company will redirect its sales policy to other markets and directions after the suspension of the contract.
